The talk will cover the importance of early movement to brain development and the development of self-awareness.  Patty will cover traditional developmental milestones as well activities through each stage that can enhance developmental periods (0-3).  She will also briefly touch on the importance of floor play, parental involvement and the considerations of using baby mobility devices to development.

Patty Hannan, founder of PlayWisely®, has revolutionized Early Childhood Development with her brain-based system combining neuroscience and performance sport principles. PlayWisely focuses on activating neural pathways crucial for learning and movement, preparing young minds to thrive in a changing world. Inspired by her All-American gymnast career and NASA research on human performance in zero gravity, Hannan delved into neuroscience and cognitive psychology, shaping her approach to early development.

In 1987, she co-founded the daVinci preschool in Dallas, Texas, and authored Teaching Your Child Basic Body Confidence (1988). Hannan has presented her innovative methods at Oxford University and international conferences, earning recognition for her contributions to early learning and human performance.
