Open-Air Life: Getting Kids Outside Rain or Shine

with
Linda Åkeson McGurk

Let's be honest - getting outside with kids isn't always easy.

We know how good nature is for them. But with packed schedules, unpredictable weather, and the pull of screens, outdoor play often gets pushed aside.

That’s why we’re sitting down with Linda Åkeson McGurk, author and advocate for outdoor childhood, to talk about what’s really getting in the way—and how we can shift it.

Drawing from her Nordic roots and the concept of friluftsliv (open-air life), Linda offers a refreshing, doable perspective on making nature time a natural part of everyday life… rain or shine.

Make the Shift

This is a conversation for anyone who wants to make more space for nature — even when life is busy, the weather is messy, or motivation is low.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to get outside more with your children but aren’t sure where to start (or how to keep it going), this talk is for you.
