“The real preparation for education is a study of oneself,” said Dr. Maria Montessori.
Embodiment is an invitation to understand ourselves and our children at a deeper level. It involves being present, open, and expansive—going into our bodies, thinking with our bodies, and living through our bodies. It’s about honoring the body, mind, and soul/spirit as one. Through gentle self-inquiry and curiosity, we compassionately peel back the layers to get to know ourselves, befriending our triggers. We learn how to navigate our parenting journey with radical self-acceptance and love. Together, we will explore what embodiment is, why it is important, and how it contributes to our personal development as a prepared adult. It nourishes us during times of distress and brings us closer to others in the community. Throughout our time together, we will focus on becoming the best version of ourselves by prioritizing our needs, introducing daily habits to cultivate expansion in all areas of our lives, and incorporating practices like breathing, journaling, and movement.
