Toilet Learning the Montessori Way is a journey that starts as soon as the child can stand and continues until they are ready. This journey allows the child to interiorize and normalize that going to the bathroom is part of the daily routine. In the Montessori settings and at home, we allow the child to be an active participant in this new learning experience and as parents or guides, we guide the child toward bathroom independence.
During our time together we will talk about the stages of toilet learning. First, we will dig deep into the preparation of the environment, followed by the child’s awareness and how to help them become independent in this journey. Finally, we will reach that independence where your child will be able to go to the bathroom and follow the steps to be successful in underpants.
