What Families Need to Know about Public Montessori

Katie Brown

Description

Montessori programs in public schools are an overwhelmingly popular option, but when it comes to choosing public Montessori, families often have questions and concerns. What can they expect after the primary years? How do these schools deliver state standards? How do kids in public Montessori schools perform academically? In this session, participants will learn about the scope and history of the public Montessori movement, hear facts and figures about the public Montessori landscape today, review the research on outcomes from these programs, and receive guidance on what questions to ask when considering a public Montessori school.
